Dr. Seuss

Green Eggs and Ham snacks

The Ham is chocolate covered strawberries the eggs are white chocolate dyed green with a green M&M

We celebrated Friday with treats made by Miss Landrith.  Aren't they adorable!  They tasted great too!

We made glyphs after reading Dr. Seuss's
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.  They turned out so cute!

The book we read for our glyph!

Bought the glyph from TPT Glyph Girls! Turned out very
Cute... don't you think?

We read The Lorax and talked about what lesson the Once-ler was trying to teach the reader.Thekids then wrote paragraphs to explain the lesson and then wrote what they could do to help the environment, what Kansas could do and what the world could do to help. Then we drew the Lorax together.  Usually when I teach them how to draw I walk them through how to draw it step by step.  For instance, the top of his head should be in the middle of the page and it is a half circle, then I told them that the eyes were ovals that were tilted...  They love it when I do this and the results were awesome!  They have to color the whole page with very little white.  We used our classroom set of new markers and the colors really pop!  What do you think?

Taught my students how to draw the Lorax!

They did a great job!
